HALLETT CACTUS

The Hallett Cactus Ultraviolet System is not an ordinary bacterial treatment system. Where most UV systems have only one bulb, Cactus’ Crossfire technology positions two UV bulbs on either side of the passing water. This "crossfire" doubles the intensity of the UV applied to the microorganisms, and helps to eliminate their breakthrough during times of turbid, dirty water, or during failure of any prefilter. The Cactus UV System that we sell can service water flow rates of up to 8 gallons per minute, which covers most homes, and small businesses. We always install the Cactus unit with a 5 micron prefilter, a safety solenoid, and a time delay mechanism. Please ask us about these safety systems, and why we feel strongly that no UV should be without them.

HALLETT UPSTREAM UV SYSTEM

The Hallett Upstream Ultraviolet System is far ahead of its competition when it comes to treating bacterial contamination. The Upstream utilizes the same Crossfire technology of the Cactus but the fail-safe design of the Upstream makes bacterial breakthrough virtually impossible. An optical monitor measures the UV intensity 24/7, an automated wiper system engages regularly to wipe the bulb/sleeve clean, temperature sensors keep the water in the UV chamber at optimal levels for long term performance, and a safety solenoid can prevent contaminated water entering your pipes if ever there was an issue. The Upstream can treat water at flow rates of 10 gallons per minute, and comes installed with a 5 micron prefilter, as recommended by the manufacturer.

HALLETT 15 XS

The Hallett 15 XS is very similar to the Upstream, but handles flow rates up to 15 gallons per minute, and carries an NSF approval rating, which is necessary for public water supplies (restaurants, coffeehouses, etc.) It also is installed with a 5 micron prefilter, as recommended by the manufacturer.
